The Congregation today is made up of women of different nationalities who are consecrated to God, who by their actions and life, they go throughout the world spreading the Love of God Incarnate to all people.

The Congregation is a Missionary Institute, whose members consecrate themselves to God in view of the Apostolate. Const 1

The Contemplation of the Mystery of the Incarnation inspired St Emilie to found the Institute and to give it the name is bears. Const.2

He revealed himself to all people Mth 1,20-24
and ‘made known to them the mystery of his Will’ Eph 1,9

The Congregation is called to spread to the different parts of the world. It is open to every form of apostolate which charity inspires:Education, Care of the sick, Social work

The Spirituality of the Congregation of the Sisters of St Joseph centers on the contemplation of the love of the Father who sent His Son so that the world might have life. Jn3:11-17

Emilie was born on the 12th September 1797, the eldest child and only girl in a family of four. From an early age this bright and lively daughter of Baron and Madame de Vialar felt attracted to the things of God.

Her childhood was a happy one. Her mother was her first teacher, though she also frequented a local school. At thirteen she was accompanied by her parents to a boarding school in Paris but sadly while she was in Paris her mother died unexpectedly.
